About Rodney

Rodney Harris is a skilled and experienced television news producer passionate about local and national news. Growing up in Michigan, Rodney developed a love for storytelling and the power of media at an early age. This passion led him to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts, with a minor in Political Science, from Central Michigan University.

During college, Rodney honed his skills working as a reporter and anchor for WMNN MiNews26 in Northern Michigan and as a producer at WLNS-TV, where Rodney gained valuable experience in the field of television news production. After graduation, he continued to build his career as a news producer at WXYZ-TV in Detroit.

In pursuit of new challenges and opportunities, Rodney moved to Washington, D.C., and joined the team at EWTN News Nightly. Rodney played a key role in producing compelling international and political news segments for over six years. He helped shape the program's direction, including launching the newscast's new graphics in 2022.

With a proven track record of success and a passion for the industry, Rodney is seeking to continue his career in television news production. He has the drive, talent, and experience to excel in any newsroom, and his dedication to storytelling and journalistic integrity make him an asset to any team.

Rodney is married to Colleen and is expecting their first child in 2023. They are already the "dog parents" to Winnie, a micro-mini Australian labradoodle.
